Self
Cleaning Suction Strainer
The self-cleaning suction strainer is
designed to protect pumps from becoming clogged by debris,
trash and solid dirt. It is connected to the pump intake
and submerged in the water source (river, lake, etc).
Principle
of operation
As the pumped water flows through the
strainer, all the debris is trapped on the screen, protecting
the pump from clogging or damage, resulting in increased
pump efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
The screen is kept clean by the continuously
rotating jets (using pump pressure through the return line),
that sweep away the debris from the screen.
